EPEMED Luxembourg asbl is a non-profit organization under the Luxembourg law, registered in Luxembourg at 59, rue du dix Octobre, L-7243 Luxembourg Bereldange.
The organisation is directed by an Executive Director comprised of a dynamic and diverse group of European leaders in the personalised medicine field, who have great expertise in the application and development of diagnostic tools to deliver improved patient care.
Alain Huriez is the Chairman of EPEMED, the European Personalised Medicine association he founded in 2009 and that is based in Luxembourg. He is since 2012 Venture Partner at Advent Life Sciences in London and more recently also Managing Director of LuxFold, a Luxembourg-based company developing an innovative 3D protein structure prediction platform.
Alain is an industry veteran bringing 25 years experience of general management, drug development and financing in the biotechnology sector in various executive positions in Neovacs, Truffle Capital, Quintiles, GSK. Prior to Advent, his last position was Chief Executive Officer of TcLand Expression, a molecular diagnostic company dedicated to personalised medicine diagnostics in Immunology he co-founded in 2002 in Nantes, France.
Alain is a Medical Doctor, holds an MBA and a Masters of Pharmaco-Economics from the University of Paris I Sorbonne. Prior to joining the Industry, he was head of an emergency room in a large teaching hospital and practiced 2 years as General Practitioner.
Alain supports and triggers several initiatives in France and in Europe regarding personalised medicine, biomarkers and high value diagnostics and is a regular speaker in international conferences.
